Settled on 30 square miles of land, the two “gites” have been built in a former chestnut dryer.
The “gites” are located in a quiet valley, 1.5 km from the main road (Nationale 102) and is perfect for two people who love nature and enjoy breaks away from the buzz of the city.

You can rent it all year round and every season offers a wide range of ativities
-Winter : cross country ski, snowshoes, dogsled excursions
- Spring : a full range of outdoor activities like canoe-kayak, mountain bike, paragliding, climbing, canyoning, speleology, or simply hiking...and also quieter activities like fauna and flora identification, river fishing
- Summer: same range of activities as in spring, river bathing, antique markets and plenty of summer festivalsin the nearby villages.
- Autumn: magnificent autumn colours , trek, hunting, mushroom and chestnut handpicking
We are located 5 min drive from Thueyts where you can find a small supermarket, bakery, butcher, newsagent, pharmacy, GP surgery (English spoken), bars and restaurants, cinema.
The surroundings offer a wide range of architectural, historical and natural wonders like the Pont du Diable (the Devil's bridge).
A full range of baby equipment is available upon request (cotbed, high chair, changing table, bathtub , potty, ...)

Vallon Pont d'arc and the famous Chauvet cave both in the South, the Roman thermal baths of Neyrac or Vals les Bains up North West or Mazan with its 12th century Cistercian Abbey ruins, the Ardeche region is rich of twenty thousands years of history. You will discover a rich and diverse architectural heritage like castles, Roman churches, caves, silkworm factories, rearing-houses and if you prick up one's ears you’ll hear in the wind the whisper of old legends like the one of the devil's bridge...
And not to forget the names of the great men who increased the cultural wealth of Ardèche (Olivier de Serres introduced during the 16th century the silkworm).
And of course in any season, the Gite is the ideal base to explore a region offering a diversified landscape from mountains, to forests, lakes and rivers along with a rich cultural and historical heritage.
Explore charming historic villages like Antraigues, Vinezac or Labeaume. Vogüé, Alba la Romaine and Balazuc - are on the official list of "the most beautiful villages in France". You can also admire medieval castles (Ventadour, Boulogne) and Roman churches in Ailhon, Mercuer, St Julien du Serre, Balazuc.
The famous thermal town of Neyrac les Bains is 15 minutes drive from the Gite (cinema, swimming pool, spa treatments).
Not to forget all the delicious culinary regional specialities made from chestnut (crème de marrons, Marrons glaces,…), charcuterie , cheeses, wines. You’ll enjoy the experience!
